  1. It is a very beautiful review vis-à-vis power and its corrosive influences particularly in Africa. Labou in his novel touches on one sensitive phenomenon that hitherto is looked upon as “foreign”. That is what you refer to in your review as being “unique in African Literature” I am talking about same sex relationships. Apart from the likes of Chinelo Okparanta, Jude Dibia and a handful of others, African literary works on “sex policing” are still very rare.
