i feel like an
empty baseball field-
serene, empty & free
like space
each time the gates of your memory
shot itself in my head,
each time i do not think
of you;
my heart becomes a ship
without an anchor,
an empty longvehicle
without doors, blistering
for you cease
to love me & i have become
a brown box in your basement
i loved you, i loved the woman
in you, i loved every cranny
of your body even places
you never knew existed
until my hands & eyes & lips
became excited tourists
exploring every home & metropolis
in your planet
i loved you, but i will forget you
as you have forgotten me,
i will forget you
as one might forget
the face of a passing stranger
with an enchanting perfume
