Bakwa (a magazine of cultural criticism) is accepting applications from undergrads and graduates for its editorial internship program. Interns work on a part-time, unpaid basis for three to five months and receive practical experience in critical reading and analysis, research, fact checking, and the workings of an international magazine. Interns work closely with editors on various sections of the magazine, generate ideas and handle some interviews. Knowledge of our previous content is as well relevant. The intern does not have to be physically available, but should be reachable via email, Skype and phone.
Interested applicants are invited to email bakwaeditor@gmail.com with a CV, writing sample and why they are interested in this position.
Here’s an interview one of our interns, Imade Iyamu, did with Abiola Oni about The London Underground.
